Oracle Linux Cloud Images

This page contains Oracle Linux images as Open Virtualization Format Archive (.ova) and QEMU copy-on-write (.qcow) files for simplified installation of Oracle Linux.

• Oracle Linux is installed using a minimal install base environment
• The latest errata available at the time of template creation are installed for all packages
• The default boot target is multi-user.target (equivalent to run level 3 in previous Oracle Linux releases)
• The firewall is enabled, allowing only ssh. SELinux is set to Enforcing.
• The default boot kernel for Oracle Linux 8 and 9 is UEK7. The default boot kernel for OL7 is UEK6.
